TCDP, as in tahini, cacao, dates, and papaya! This nice cream recipe features an unassuming combination of superfood ingredients that surprisingly tastes delicious when mixed together to create a flavor-rich, bittersweet and salty plant-based ice cream!
TCDP Soft Serve
Dairy-free, refined sugar-free, oil-free, gluten-free, nut-free
Yield: 2 servings
Prep Time: 5-10 min
Ingredients:
2 sliced and frozen bananas
1 cup chopped and frozen papaya
2 tbsp tahini
2 tbsp unsweetened cacao powder
4-5 pitted medjool dates
1 tsp vanilla extract
Ingredients: Toppings
Chocolate syrup
Shredded coconut
Pink Himalayan salt (or sea salt)
Directions:
Add the frozen bananas, papaya, and dates to a food processor mix for 3-5 minutes until the mixture becomes creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
Next, add in the tahini, cacao powder, and vanilla extract, blending to combine. At this time, you may taste the soft-serve and adjust the ingredients as needed to fit your desired taste.
You can serve the nice cream immediately or store it in the freezer a little while to thicken up. Garnish with your choice of toppings!
