Christmas Vegan Brownie Baking Class

This was an intimate destressor after mid-terms with friends. We held conversations on mental wellness, balance, and future ambitions while baking and enjoying decadent vegan brownies.

Fall Farm Tour

We were beyond excited to return to the farms once more, this time to learn about seasonal produce and the benefits of growing and eating seasonally and locally. Thus far, we owe these incredible opportunities of hands-on education and involvement in the sustainable agriculture movement to Plant It Forward farms and their impactful work towards empowering refugee farmers and environment advocates.

Urban Farm Community Workday

Being an organization inspired on the basis of advocating for sustainable agriculture, it has always been a dream of ours to collectively visit a local farm. Thus, this event marked a memorable milestone in SEA's journey of learning and growth.

Halloween Potluck

From digital invitations and donating unused materials, to homemade & nutritious food, SEA showcased how to sustainable host a social event while still being able to enjoy delicious food and fun.

Tree Planting at Charlton Park

For our very first in-person event after the worst of COVID-19, SEA helped HPARD and SCA organizations plant 250 trees at the Charlton Park along the Simon Bayou in contribution to the Riparian Restoration Initiative.

Documentary Night: Rotten

Continuing SEA's learning journey during the pandemic was a movie night via Discord where we watched and held discussions on the award-winning Netflix documentary series, Rotten, exposing the corruption in the global food supply chain.

SEA Opening Event: Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookie Baking Class

During the uncertain and divided period of the COVID-19 pandemic, SEA leaders and members found certainty in the kitchen as we explored sustainability practices in baking. After our fun-filled zoom meeting we were proud to present our very own home-made vegan chocolate chip cookie recipe.
